This is a follow up class Don Lee’s class, Electroacupuncture for Pain and Orthopedics – Introduction. In this advanced class, he goes deeper by exploring case studies and how to treat areas of the body. It is not required, but recommended, to take the basic class.
This four-hour lecture (with video demonstrations) will cover the fundamentals of using electroacupuncture safely and effectively for pain and musculoskeletal disorders. This course will expand upon the treatment strategies covered in part 1 to include the head, upper, and lower extremities as well as combining electroacupuncture with other modalities.
The objectives of the course are to cover the historical, physiological, and clinical basis of electroacupuncture (also known percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation or PENS). Expected outcomes include participants being familiar with the characteristics of typical PENS devices, as well as their safe application in the treatment of pain and musculoskeletal disorders.
