June 26, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

60.00$

PCU

PCU is proud to present the world renowned Acupuncture Expert, Dr. Shi Ping Zhang, associate professor and program director from the School of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University. Professor Zhang will focus on acupuncture practice guided by TCM classic…s.

The seminar is open to all acupuncturists and TCM practitioners as well as TCM students. We believe that the presentation will provide you with the authentic perspectives of acupuncture theories and practices and to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese acupuncture. Please register early, as seating is limited.

Description: TCM classics are difficult to study in a foreign language, let alone the application of these classics in clinical practice. The lack of understanding in traditional theories and practices could potentially limit the clinical application and efficacy of acupuncture. This Seminar will illustrate the historical developments of acupuncture and moxibustion theories and treatment techniques. Using English translated original texts from classics of Chinese medicine, the audiences will learn to appreciate the authentic perspectives of acupuncture theories and practices and to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese acupuncture. Examples of clinical application of classical theories will be demonstrated. In particular, Dr. Zhang will introduce his Three-Step Pain Regime based on Neijing (The Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classics) in treatment of various pain conditions.
